In addition to weather routing and voyage optimization service, Optimum Voyage offers a powerful Enchanched Optimization capability designed to identify untapped efficiency potential in completed voyages.

We offer three optimization options:‍

Live Voyage – Our standard managed routing service with full operational support.

Shadow Voyage – Optimization run in the background without direct interaction with the vessel.

Optimization – A retrospective analysis of a completed voyage, using historical forecast data only, to uncover missed fuel savings and time efficiencies.‍

How It Works

Re-Optimization replicates real-world voyage conditions to ensure a fair, unbiased assessment. Here's how:

‍1: Initial Optimization: Conducted at departure using the actual forecast available at that time—no hindsight bias.

2: Daily Iterations: Every 24 hours, the vessel's position and time are updated, and a new optimization is run using only the forecast that was available at that moment.

3: Continuous Simulation: This process repeats until voyage completion, closely mirroring how the vessel would have been routed in real time by Optimum Voyage.

4: Final Comparison: The compiled re-optimized route is then benchmarked against the actual executed voyage to identify efficiency gaps and potential savings.

To get started, we only require noon reports and basic voyage details. From there, our team handles the full analysis.
